What is Quiet Mode on Instagram?

Anyone who sends you a direct message during the period will get an automatic notification that you won’t be notified about the message until the end of the Quiet Mode period. It sounds quite a lot like the Pause Notifications feature, and it is. But there are differences. Pause Notifications is something you can only use from the point at which you decide to use it. How to turn Quiet Mode on or off on Instagram

It’s very easy to use and set your schedule. Here’s how to turn Quiet Mode on or off on Instagram.

• From the home screen of the Instagram app, go to your profile by tapping the image of your profile picture in the bottom right.
• Go to the profile menu by tapping the three horizontal lines icon in the top right.

• On this next menu, tap on Notifications.
• Next, hit Quiet mode. It’s underneath the Pause all option.
• You can now see a toggle switch next to Quiet mode. If you move it to the On position, Quiet Mode is activated.
• The default period is from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You can amend that by changing the times next to the From and To options lower on the menu. As mentioned in the previous section, you can set the period to be as long as 12 hours.
• You can also choose days to turn on Quiet mode.

To turn off Quiet Mode on Instagram, you return to this screen and toggle the switch next to Quiet mode to the Off position. When you do this, it will ask you if you wish to skip Quiet Mode instead. If you select Skip for now, you will start receiving notifications again until the Quiet Mode period of the following day. This is to allow you to keep your schedule but not use Quiet Mode for that particular period. To deactivate Quiet Mode altogether, tap Turn off quiet mode.
