UK network EE will likely carry Google Pixel and Pixel XL
Carriers and retailers in the United Kingdom have long been offering the Nexus line of devices to consumers. Their portfolio of mobile devices, however, could grow soon, suggests a teaser by UK network EE for the upcoming launch of Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.
EE has put up a page on its website to help users watch the live stream on YouTube for what Google calls its “big announcement” later this afternoon. Google is expected to announce its new array of hardware products today, including the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
It’s unclear, though, whether EE will carry both phones. We’ll learn more about how to pre-order the phones once Google provides details of their availability. Nonetheless, EE’s presence on the list of companies that tease the Google Pixel phones is a confirmation that it will carry the handset.
A broadside of rumors and leaks about the upcoming Google Pixel phones has recently bombarded the internet. The most recent leak came from British retailer Carphone Warehouse, which spilled the beans on the full specifications of the Pixel lineup yesterday. Carphone Warehouse’s leak didn’t come as a huge surprise, considering that the retailer has been offering the Nexus smartphones for years.
Prior to that, Canadian carrier Bell accidentally showed off the white Google Pixel and Pixel XL on its website.
British consumers looking to get a glimpse of the launch later today can start watching the livestream at 05:00 PM. What do you expect to see in Google Pixel and Pixel XL? Share your thoughts in the comments!
