Buying an iPhone Duo? Verizon has a few ways to make it cheaper

Pre-orders for Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, officially kicked off earlier today. The device is expected to be generally available starting October 23, though shipping estimates for the device have already slipped into early 2027. If you were impressed with what Apple’s first foldable has to offer, and want to get your hands on it, grabbing your spot in the line now would be a wise decision. Of course, the iPhone Duo isn’t cheap, and we’ve got some more carrier promotions to share that should help soften the financial blow.

We’ve seen T-Mobile, AT&T, and Xfinity‘s iPhone Duo deals, and Verizon is now joining the party with its own promotions.

Verizon’s main iPhone Duo promotion is aimed at those looking to switch from a different carrier. If you purchase a 256GB iPhone Duo from Verizon, with an eligible plan, you can get an Apple Watch Series 12 or an iPad on Verizon without trading in your existing phone. The watch or tablet will need to be on a qualifying line with a 36-month payment plan, with Verizon covering $600 via monthly promotional credits.

The promotion comes with three months of free Apple One, which will cost $17 after the promotional period.

If you’d rather go with a more straightforward billing plan, there’s a different deal for you. Verizon is offering the 256GB iPhone Duo bundled with its Simplicity plan for $72/mo. That’s essentially $42/mo for the iPhone Duo, and $30/mo for the plan with Auto Pay for 48 months (4 years). If you’re someone who likes upgrading your phone every year or two, we’d suggest staying away from this plan.

Lastly, if you have an existing phone that you don’t mind parting ways with, Verizon will give you up to $1,000 to spend on an iPhone Duo. This applies when you trade in an eligible Apple, Google, Motorola, or Samsung device, and add a new line on a qualifying myPlan plan. Note that the savings will be applied as monthly promotional credits over 36 months — you won’t get the discount upfront.

There’s a little something for Business and Enterprise customers too

Available to both new and existing Business Markets and Enterprise customers, Verizon is offering $1,200 off the iPhone Duo if you trade in an eligible device, add a new line with a 36-month payment plan, and sign up for a My Biz Plan with at least $20 in monthly add-on spending.

If you don’t want to go for the first-gen foldable, Business customers can opt for a similar iPhone 18 Pro (Max) promotion. They can get the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro on Verizon or save up to $1,200 on the iPhone 18 Pro Max with an eligible trade-in. Those who transfer an existing number from a different carrier can also claim an additional $360 in promotional credits.
