Verizon’s Pixel and Pixel XL getting a software update
There is a software update on its way for Verizon’s Pixel phones, which should fix Bluetooth issues and improve VR performance.
Verizon is pushing out a new update to build NDE63X, which should address message notification issues that some users are having while connected to vehicle Bluetooth systems as well as improve Daydream View performance, in preparation for the headset’s launch this week. You can see the full changelog below:
- Message notifications while connected to vehicle Bluetooth® systems
- Daydream View performance
- Adds New Mexico as a state option during Wi-Fi Calling setup
Although Verizon does not specify whether this is the November security patch, we are fairly certain that it is. After all, we’ve seen reports of T-Mobile Galaxy S7 devices getting this month’s security update from Samsung, so it’d only make sense for Google to do the same for its own phones. If that’s the case, non-Verizon Pixel phones should also see the update in the near future.
Make sure to have your phone charged before you update, and let us know if there are other changes you see after updating your phone!
