WhatsApp seems to be experiencing issues on Android after the latest 2.23.21.80 update. Multiple users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit to complain about the problem. Reports of WhatsApp not working are also spiking on DownDetector.
WhatsApp for Android users are reporting that the app keeps crashing after updating to the latest version. Some users have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the problem seems to persist.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp hasn’t responded to the issue yet. It seems users have just run into the problem, with reports starting to pop up only a few hours ago.
WhatsApp released the 2.23.21.80 update on October 23. It includes some general bug fixes to the app. If you haven’t downloaded the update yet, we would advise you to hold off until the issue is resolved.
