- Xiaomi has launched the 11 Lite NE 5G in India.

- Pricing starts at Rs 26,999.
Xiaomi is known for adding models to its existing lineups well after they’ve launched. Today, it’s continuing that trend. The company has announced the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G in India, a mid-range phone emphasizing its thin and light build.
To that end, the phone measures under 7mm thick and weighs in at 158 grams. That’s nearly 100 grams lighter than the iPhone 13 Pro Plus. It’s not a small smartphone by any means, though. It packs a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 10-bit color depth, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10 Plus support. You’re also getting a 90Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection up front.
Aesthetically, it’ll be tough telling this New Edition apart from its older 4G sibling or the newer 11T NE 5G without glancing at their specs sheets.
Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G specs
Internally, Xiaomi employs the Snapdragon 778G mated to 6/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There’s an option to expand that storage via a hybrid card slot, too.
Power is provided by a 4,250mAh battery topped up via 33W charging. Xiaomi claims that it’s quick enough to provide a 50% charge in 20 minutes.
As for the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G’s camera smarts, it’s headlined by a 64MP camera, with 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP telemacro shooters in support. A 20MP selfie camera also features.
Other niceties include NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6 support, an IR blaster, and dual stereo speakers. The phone’s body is also splashproof.
Finally, Xiaomi promises that the phone will gain three years of Android updates with four years of security patches in tow. The phone lands with Android 11 and MIUI 12.5.
