Alleged Xiaomi Max front panel leaks out in new images
The Xiaomi Max was recently named through a survey and now the first images of the device have appeared online. The leaked photos from Chinese microblogging site Baidu are just of the front display panel, but they reveal a truly huge phone.
The Xiaomi Max is reported to arrive with a 6.4-inch QHD screen and the Snapdragon 820 but no other specs are yet making the rounds. The images show capacitive buttons on the front but no physical home button/fingerprint sensor, which may well be relocated to the back. The phablet glass also reveals extremely thin side bezels.
As with most super-early leaks, there’s no guaranteeing the legitimacy of the image, but it does appear to have been taken at an assembly line, as the gloved hands of the model indicate. The capacitive button markings are also recognizably Xiaomi.
With the rumor mill pointing to a May release for the Xiaomi Max, you might be hearing a lot more about this huge device in the not-too-distant future.
What do you think of the Xiaomi Max? Is a 6.4-inch phone too big?
