Xiaomi Max spotted in its first render
Just last week, an alleged front panel of a Xiaomi Max smartphone was spotted online, revealing that the company’s may have a rather large sized handset in production. Today a render has appeared online, which seems to match up rather closely with the picture that we saw earlier in the week, although there are a few differences.
There’s a very familiar Xiaomi look about the handset and the very thin bezels look to be very similar to the earlier leaked picture. We can also now see that the volume and power buttons are placed up on the right side of the smartphone. However, while the earlier picture showed off capacitive keys on the front of the handset, this render seems to suggest that the phone will come with a physical home button. Perhaps this will house a fingerprint scanner? Given this difference, we should probably treat these images with some scepticism.
Rumored specifications for the Xiaomi Max point to a large 6.4-inch handset with a QHD resolution display. The phone will apparently be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, but nothing else is known about the phone at this point.
The Max is rumored for a May release, but we should probably wait for some more official looking teasers before forming too many opinions.
