The Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet goes global, will launch in Europe for €349

On the same day that Xiaomi announced its new 11T series of smartphones, the company has also confirmed the global launch of its Xiaomi Pad 5 Android tablet. The tablet, which launched in its native China in August, will be released in Europe. The media release did not say which version of Android will be used, but it will include the Xiaomi MIUI skin made for tablet use.
The tablet will have an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600, along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, the tablet will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor. It will also come with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. It will also come with four speakers that offer Dolby Atoms support. The 8,720mAh battery, which the company claims will last all day on a single charge, can be powered with the included 22.5W charger. It also supports the company’s Xiaomi Smart Pen stylus, although that will be a separate accessory purchase.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 will be sold in two colors, Cosmic Gray and Pearl White. It goes on sale in Europe on September 23. The price for the version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage will be €349. The version with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be €399. Unfortunately, the tablet is unlikely to come to the United States.
