Xiaomi shows off Redmi K20, revealing triple rear camera, shiny design
Xiaomi has issued a steady drip-feed of information regarding its Redmi K20 flagship in recent weeks. We already know plenty of specs as a result, but we now have a look at the phone’s design too. And the upcoming device certainly reminds us of the Xiaomi Mi 9.
The Xiaomi Redmi Weibo account has posted a photo of the Redmi K20 (seen in featured image above), showing a phone with a shiny red design. It’s unclear if the back is glass or plastic, but the Mi 9’s shiny back was glass, for what it’s worth.
Another eye-catching detail is the presence of a triple rear camera setup here. We already know the phone will offer a 48MP rear camera (IMX 586), but we don’t know about the other shooters. Hopefully the firm opts for ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, giving consumers plenty of choice in various situations.
The design and triple rear camera setup joins a host of other details revealed by the company in recent times. Xiaomi has confirmed a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 4,000mAh battery, in-display fingerprint sensor, and the aforementioned 48MP rear camera.
The Redmi K20 will also stand out thanks to a pop-up selfie camera, enabling a full-screen design without a notch or punch-hole cutout. One of the biggest mysteries is the price-point though, but we’ll likely only find out for sure at the May 28 launch event. What do you think of the phone’s design? Let us know in the comments!
