Redmi Note 10S launched in India to take on realme 8, Redmi Watch comes in tow
- Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 10S and the Redmi Watch in India.
- The Redmi Note 10S starts at Rs 14,999, while the Redmi Watch comes in at Rs 3,999.
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 10S in India after previously unveiling the phone for global markets. The device expands the existing Redmi Note 10 lineup in the country which includes the Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max.
The latest smartphone slots somewhere between the Redmi Note 10 and the Pro variant. It comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ display. However, don’t expect the Note 10 Pro’s fast 120Hz refresh rate here. You’ll get the standard 60Hz refresh rate on the Redmi Note 10S, the same as the vanilla Redmi Note 10.
Powering the Redmi Note 10S is the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.
Battery life should not be an issue with 5,000mAh capacity under the hood. Pair that with a 33W in-box fast charger and you’ve got a good deal on your hands.
In the imaging department, the Redmi Note 10S one-ups the standard Note 10’s primary sensor. It gets a 64MP shooter leading a pack of four main camera sensors, including an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The device also includes a 13MP selfie sensor placed within a centered punch hole.
The phone will come with an interim version of MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
Redmi Note 10S India price and availability
The Redmi Note 10S will go on sale in India starting May 18 for Rs 14,999 (~$203) for the 64GB model and Rs 15,999 (~$217) for the 128GB variant. At that price, the Note 10S will compete against the realme 8 which also features the Helio G95 SoC and matches other core specs of the phone to a tee. The only difference is that the realme phone comes with a 16MP selfie shooter and 30W charging.
Redmi Watch specs
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Watch in China last year and the wearable is only now coming to India.
The entry-grade device features a 1.4-inch square display with 2.5D curved glass protection.

The watch features built-in GPS, so you won’t have to depend on your phone for tracking your movements.
A 230mAh battery powers the device and Xiaomi claims it can deliver up to 12 days of usage. The Redmi Watch also features 5ATM water resistance that allows it to work in up to 50 meters of depth.
