Xiaomi claims 10m Redmi Note 7 series phones sold (are you even surprised?)
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 series might be the best Redmi Note devices yet, maintaining the family’s large batteries but improving the camera and power stakes. So is it any wonder that these latest phones have reportedly sold by the truck load?
Now, Redmi India has announced on Twitter that the Redmi Note 7 series has sold 10 million units to date globally, citing internal sales data.
We are super pumped to announce that we’ve sold 10 MILLION units of #RedmiNote7 series worldwide!India’s most loved device is also the world’s most loved series. 😎Mi fans, you guys are incredible. ❤️ RT if you’re a #RedmiNote7 series user. pic.twitter.com/aRUZVI6e0u— Redmi India (@RedmiIndia) May 27, 2019
That makes for an impressive jump in the second quarter of the year, as Xiaomi previously reported four million units sold worldwide in the first quarter of 2019. This means the firm sold roughly six million devices in April and May.
The series currently includes the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the standard global model (also known as the Redmi Note 7S in India), and the standard Indian variant (lacking the global model’s 48MP rear camera).
We thought the Pro variant in particular offered a ton of features for ~$200, including a 48MP rear camera (IMX586), 4,000mAh battery, and Snapdragon 675 chipset. But our own Dhruv Bhutani also criticized the unpolished, ad-heavy software in his Redmi Note 7 Pro review. Do you have a Redmi Note 7 series phone? Let us know in the comments!
