You can now watch 100 TV shows on YouTube for free if you don't mind ads
- YouTube has announced that it now offers almost 4,000 episodes of TV shows for free with ads.
- The 100 TV shows include Andromeda, Kitchen Nightmares, and Beyond Belief.
- This content is restricted to viewers in the US though.
Google is no stranger to free, ad-supported TV content (FAST), with YouTube previously offering some premium content for free and Pluto TV recently coming to the Google TV platform.
The company isn’t stopping here though, as YouTube has now announced that it’s offering a variety of TV shows on the platform for free with ads. More specifically, the company says it’s offering almost 4,000 episodes of various TV shows.
Some of the more prominent TV shows listed by YouTube include Andromeda, Beyond Belief, Earth: Final Conflict, Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Relic Hunter, and Silk Stalkings. Otherwise, you’re looking at a total of 100 TV shows available for free with ads.
These TV shows join a raft of free movies already available on YouTube, such as Gone in 60 Seconds, Legally Blonde, The Island, and Paranormal Activity.
Unfortunately, these TV shows and movies are limited to the US right now. Nevertheless, it’s clear that the FAST segment is becoming more competitive, with the likes of YouTube, Tubi, Plex, Pluto TV, and Samsung TV Plus all vying for a slice of the pie.
